Meet Dr. Roy
I was born and raised in Westport, Massachusetts, a small farming community bordering Rhode Island and the Atlantic Ocean. I graduated from Bishop Connolly High School and crossed the country to Colorado where I attended the United States Air Force Academy graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Shortly after graduation, I met my wonderful wife, Jacquelle, and we were married 12 weeks later as I started Pilot Training in Columbus, Mississippi. My Air Force career as a fighter pilot took our family to many areas of the country and exciting destinations around the world. It was as a consultant to NASA and the U.S. Air Force Surgeon General that I had my first exposure to the healing art of medicine. As our family size grew, my heart continued to turn from service in warfare to service in healing. After much fasting and prayer, I resigned my commission as a Major in the United States Air Force and entered Ross University School of Medicine where I graduated with High Honors. While as an intern with Central Michigan University’s Family Medicine program, I was honored to be chosen as one of its Chief Residents. I am a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Michigan State Medical Society and Saginaw County Medical Society. I hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, ALSO, FCCS and ATLS. I am an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and currently serve as a Sunday School teacher. I thoroughly enjoy our local Saginaw area and spending as much time as possible with my loving and supportive wife while we play with and teach our son and eight daughters; Benjamin, Marissa, Emily, Xiomara, Kemiah, Domonique, Harmonie, Camdilyn, and Naomi.
